And on that topic … to see E. Taylor in her prime, watch the film adaptation of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof from 1958 where she is playing opposite Paul Newman.

WOW! Hasse Nielsen – one of our absolute favorite photographers – has made this lovely film for diamond girls Line Hallberg and Jo Riis-Hansen. The occasion is the opening of the redesigned web universe, including a fabulous online boutique, all designed by yours truly . We can’t wait to tomorrow when it opens at noon! In the meantime take a look at this amazing film, make sure the sound is on.

Astonishing jewelry by Elke Kramer found at Darkroom. They almost look like pieces from another century that you would find on display at the V&A museum …. rather lovely!

German jewelry designer Husam El Odeh is cool. Originally training to be an artist, the now London-based designer won the Emerging Talent Award at the British Fashion Awards last month. His upcoming collaboration with Acne hits the stores next month. Read an interview with him here.
What’s something you never leave the house without?
It’s this charm my mom gave me — it used to be this really awful Middle Eastern thing with ornaments hanging on it. I think maybe she gave it to me because she didn’t want to wear it, either. I melted it down, so it’s deconstructed, but the essence is still there. I also always wear a single pearl. It can become such a comfort; you start to think of them as good luck.

In the beginning of February we once again art-directed jewellery makers Line&Jo‘s new campaign – shot at Stage7 here in Copenhagen. You have to wait just a little bit for the final images but here is a sneak preview from backstage …
Beautiful (and sweet) Maria from Elite was the model …
Hasse Nielsen was the photographer, here accompanied by Thomas Hargreave who was shooting on film with Hasse. “Film, you say?” … yes, there will be a little Line&Jo movie as well.
Cool Cat Cim (Mahony) was of course swinging his magical brush on Maria’s hair. The indoor sunglasses are not a new diva-habit of his, but merely because he was standing facing a really blinding backlight.
Line Hallberg from Line&Jo checking to see if the jewellery is looking its best. And indeed it was!
