Gastronomica

Tactile, creative and beautiful covers from the food journal Gastronomica – a publication which  “uses food as an important source of knowledge about different cultures and societies, provoking discussion and encouraging thoughtful reflection on the history, literature, representation, and cultural impact of food.” We love that approach! Read more here

Tadanori Yokoo

Great poster from the Japanese graphic artist Tadanori Yokoo, we love the vintage oriental feel!

Nice watch

Via.

Gucci? Yes, Gucci.

Amazingly elegant shoes from Gucci this summer … Creative Director Frida Giannini is doing a thoroughly good job for the label these years.

Here is Frida in front of her treasured vinyl collection (apparently she collects, and has more than 8000 records!)

The hair (and the girl)

One word: Perfect! Beautiful Josephine Skriver from a Hasse Nielsen/Cim Mahony collaboration in BON Magazine.

Hair: Cim Mahony, Photo: Hasse Nielsen, Make-up: Zenia Jaeger.

A clean study in materials

What a cool table! Would do well in our waiting area. We do hope the brass cylinder is fixed…

Mark Colle

We just want to swim in all of Antwerp-based florist Mark Colle‘s flower arrangements. At Raf Simon’s last FW/2012 show designing for Jil Sander, he decided to deck out the runway in these wonderful creations. W.O.W! See more here.

Elise Crombez

Belgium super model Elise Crombez is covergirl for PRADA in their summer 2012 campaign. She is such a cool looking girl. A perfect mix of serious, hard-edged, intelligent, soft and feminine. The kind of girl you would want your son to date … haha! We digged our archive and found a campaign we shot with Elise back in 2009 where she was our perfect cinematic, brooding beauty for Day.

And back in Copenhagen anno 2009 …

Appropriation Art

Looking at Sherrie Levine’s works today. Very inspirational.

The Sea …

Our fondness for Tropicality is no secret. This book cover by hugely talented Danish illustrators/multi talents Hvass & Hannibal is really lovely. We can almost smell the coconuts …
