Details

Beautiful details from Stella McCartney’s boutique in Paris. Created by architects APA London … more of their work here.

Console mirror

Once again a nice piece of (conceptual) work from Swedish interior designers Front. A mirror in the shape of a doorway, with half a table mirroring itself thus appearing to be round … playing with the illusion of it being half inside the other “room”. Created for porro.com.

Al Jarnow

If you don’t know painter, filmmaker, software developer, exhibition designer (in other words, multi talent)¬†Al Jarnow, then it is about time. A new dvd with his collected works (shortfilms & animations) has been released earlier this year and it is definitely on our wishlist. More about him here.

Trailer for the dvd …

Two of his shortfilms here …

Cool cool Karen Elson

Soon she will release her debut album. LA is looking forward! She had a little help from her husband Jack White from The White Stripes, his ex-wife’s new husband and so forth… LA loves the happy ‘one big family story ‘and her really great voice.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

New exhibition by Ryan McGinley running through to 17th April at Team Gallery in New York.

And a white hand … ?

Avantgarde designer Hussein Chalayan has some really cool details in his Spring Summer 2010 collection … we like the hat with the built in visor. The white hand detail is a little on the creepy side though … but also quite funny!

Cute!

To mark the 150 years of British Battersea Dogs & Cats home, a new set of stamps has hit the postoffices. Each one features a cat or a dog who has been succesfully rehomed or rescued. So sweet …

The animals are photographed by Steve Hoskins. Found via creativereview.com.
