Wall carpets

Hanging carpets on the wall, is something you rarely see or do now a days in modern homes … and that is a shame. The Rug Company has a beautiful variety of carpets to be hung on the wall, especially designed by a handful of designers and also from their own collection. We like!

From top, “Flamingo” by Suzy Hoodles, “Active Resistance” by Vivienne Westwood, “Fantastic Journey” by Fiona Curran, “Relic” by The Rug Company

Vinoodh Matadin (& Inez) for Lanvin Homme SS10

Interesting new direction for a fashion campaign, actually employing the photographer as a model with his wife (also the photographer). Well, what can we say, it works … but is there anything with them two that doesn’t?

Garbo’s eye

Beautiful print from the Cecil Beaton Fabric Collection.

Garbo’s Eye on natural linen.

Charlotte Gainsbourg & Beck “Heaven can wait”

What a cool and lovely video. Directed by Keith Schofield.

From all of us to all of you … Time to shut down the computer and put our feet up!

Inspiration Information 04

Just bought this album Jimi Tenor & Tony Allen “Inspiration Information” … and it is really brilliant! Jimi Tenor is mostly known for his avantgarde club/electro/industrial sound (in the 80′es he apparently created homemade instruments from metal garbage found in dumping grounds). Tony Allen on the other hand is a famed Nigerian afro-beat drummer (most recently he was part of Damon Albarn’s “The Good, The Bad and The Queen” band – they have split up unfortunately, but released one fantastic album in 2007) Anyway, Jimi Tenor & Tony Allen’s collaboration is a really original, quirky and quite captivating recording! Listen to some of the tracks on the album’s website¬†here. Also; check out Strut Recordings for other releases in the Inspiration Information series, ex. Horace Andy vs. Ashley Beedle. Nice!

Chelsea Girls

Love this poster for Andy Warhol’s 1966 “Chelsea Girls” movie.
